from other Thames Schools for the White Cluster Junior swimming sports.

| Book Character Dress Up Day |
As part of book week, the whole school was invited to dress up as their favourite book character. Some very interesting characters turned up on the day, - a lot of creativity and imagination went into some of the costumes. The staff got into the spirit of things as well, - not many children can say they have been taught by a 'Chicken' and an 'Indian'.

Operation Cover-up
Operation Cover-up is an extremely valuable and worthwhile organisation who provide blankets and warm garments to under-privileged children and families in Eastern Europe. This year St Francis School was participating by knitting squares which were stitched together to make blankets to send overseas. We were really lucky with our talented and enthusiastic volunteers who were prepared to teach the interested children how to knit during their lunchtime. Some amazing results were achieved with children learning a life-long skill.
